CORPORATE DONATIONS - IN KIND
For example, offering the use of:
cruises to be used as prizes and incentives to Volunteers and Donors) |
The list is endless.
As part of our corporate fundraising program, we will approach small, medium and big business in Australia to fund cases which The AJT cannot handle simply because of its workload. These cases will naturally be underpinned by the Pro Bono representation offered by The AJT; the difference being that, through necessity, the legal work will be outsourced to Law firms - on a fee for services basis - but Law firms which have already proven their bona fides by accepting outsourced pro bono work from The AJT in the past.
The cost to these Australian businesses as they fund these cases through The AJT will constitute donations to The AJT and be fully tax deductible to the donor corporation.
And I'm sure most readers would agree that there is a difference between donating money to a cause where much of your donation is spent on administration and office overheads before the beneficiaries receive assistance, and donating money which is directly applied to a beneficiary who can personally enjoy the benefit of each dollar donated.
It is an established and growing policy within Australia for small and large corporations to tithe. And to put it succinctly, the option to tithe in a manner where this charitable gesture will give the donor more bang for its bucks, is a greatly preferred option. There is nothing like seeing a direct result for the money you give.
Naturally, the technique of apportioning cases to either individual or group corporate donors is one that The AJT will be applying vigorously even though these cases are being handled in house. But enough for now.
